We just celebrated our 5 year anniversary in March. For years we have always said that we were going to renew our vows on our 5 year in vegas at one of those cheesy elvis chapels, but when the time came, I did a little research and realized it was super ghetto and expensive to get married there and have Elvis marry you(if your gonna do it, you gotta have Elvis do the job). We had always planned on sending out invitations to our whole family and close friends a year erlier so that they could plan for it, but that didn't happen...in other words little Zuma was born and we didn't know how it was going to work partyin in vegas, riding roller coasters etc. with a wee babe. We still wanted to go to Vegas though, so we decided to make it happen.
Zach booked us a room at the Luxor hotel... ya gotta love vegas though, cause our lovely neighbors were making such a racket it seriously sounded close to abuse... only in Vegas! found out about this beautiful place called "The Valley of Fire" an hour away from Vegas so we decided to make it really small and low-key and renew our vows there. My parents and brother, Robby had been planning on going for over a year, so they were still in on coming. It worked out perfect, because we needed someone to take pictures and someone to "marry" us again + it was great to be able to spend time with them and have them see Zuma.
It was so amazing there! the red rock was so pretty. We found a pretty spot and Zach and I said a few things, and then my dad said a few things, we kissed each other, took a few pictures and that was that. I am glad we did what we did, but maybe at our 10 year we will do the Elvis/ cheesy chapel thing.
